Internal Audit Office
The primary responsibility of this Office is to oversee control, safety, and quality of operational activities in accordance with the regulations and decisions in force that govern the functioning of the key sectors of TRAINKOS J.S.C.
Based on a decision of the Board of Directors of TRAINKOS J.S.C., this Office reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The Control, Safety and Quality Office is led and managed by the Head of the Office, who bears full professional and legal responsibility for its management.
The scope of the Office's control activities includes the following sectors:
- Control of the Passenger Transport Sector;
- Control of the Freight Transport Sector;
- Control of the Locomotive, Multiple Unit and Wagon Maintenance Sector;
- Control of administrative and procedural sectors.
The Office carries out its activities in accordance with the regulations and instructions in force that govern the operational and functional matters of the above-mentioned sectors.
The organizational structure of the Office has been established to supervise the following areas:
- Monitoring revenue generated from freight transport, from the beginning of transportation through revenue calculation, and approving the process and documentation before submission to the Finance Department for invoice issuance.
- Monitoring revenue generated from passenger transport, including ticket sales on trains by conductors as well as ticket sales at railway stations.
- Monitoring rolling stock in operation to ensure that locomotives, multiple units, and wagons comply with the operational requirements set out in the applicable regulations and instructions.
- Monitoring freight and passenger transport processes from the perspective of transport documentation, including documentation accompanying trains during operation and records maintained at railway stations.
- Monitoring train personnel to ensure they are equipped with the required equipment and informed in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Monitoring the level of utilization of rolling stock in operation and train personnel.
- Monitoring the maintenance level of rolling stock.
In addition to these key control functions, the Office also performs other inspections and control activities as needed within the above-mentioned sectors or upon specific requests from the management or the Chief Executive Officer.
