Today the company Trainkos Sh.A hosted a special guest, His Excellency the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Mr. Ian Cliff, accompanied by the Projects Officer at the British Embassy in Prishtina, Ms. Miranda Shala. They were received by the Chief Executive Officer of Trainkos Sh.A, Mr. Ruzhdi Morina, and the Director of Operating Businesses, Mr. Besim Asllani. At this meeting the Ambassador was informed firsthand about the progress and development of rail transport in Kosovo, the challenges, and the company's goals for the future. Also at this meeting, discussions were held on the possibilities for developing public transport in providing services to citizens and in particular to communities. Furthermore, the management informed the Ambassador about the projects presented regarding providing the best possible services to citizens. On this occasion it is worth mentioning the engagement around a new concept such as the "fishbone", a concept which enables the connection between rail and road transport. This form of transport development is part of the project of the multimodal strategy of the Ministry of Infrastructure. With the realization of this project, public transport would develop and our citizens would have higher quality transport services. In any case, the management emphasized that the implementation of this project requires the support of the ministries responsible for transport and other public authorities, while it was emphasized that the company has sufficient human resources to provide these services. Ambassador Cliff welcomed the company's engagement and commitment to the approach and development of new railway concepts, and expressed his interest and readiness to help with this project, through which three categories of citizens would benefit: villages that do not have good transport services and are more isolated, communities, and settlements that have a higher density of residents.
