Kosovo Railways Trainkos Sh.A, at an organized ceremony, carried out the inauguration of locomotive 645, which was realized with funds from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
On the occasion of the inauguration of this locomotive, besides the management and employees of HK-Trainkos Sh.A, many other guests were present, both from local and international institutions.
During this ceremony, in his speech, the Chief Executive Officer of HK-Trainkos Sh.A, Mr. Gelor Shala, emphasized that putting this locomotive into operation will help even more in providing higher quality services in passenger transport. Our desire has been and remains to provide our passengers with safety, comfort and better travel conditions. This is our goal, therefore the realization of the project will contribute to its achievement – emphasized the Chief Executive Officer.

Therefore, on this occasion as well, we wish to express our gratitude, not only for this project but also for the government s continuous commitment to supporting and backing our goals" – underlined Mr. Shala. |
| Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HK-Trainkos Sh.A, Mr. Sadik Kryeziu, thanked the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for financing this project as well as for its commitment and engagement in continuous support for Kosovo Railways. Mr. Kryeziu went on to state: |  |
"The realization of this project will motivate us even more in our work and commitment to provide the highest quality services to the country's citizens and businesses. We will find ways and opportunities to renew our rolling stock. We will fulfill our mission, Trainkos will be a driver of the country's economic development by offering competitive transport opportunities, and through our work we will improve the well-being of our citizens."
On behalf of the Government of Kosovo, the Minister of Infrastructure, Mr. Lutfi Zharku, spoke, emphasizing that the engagement of the Board of Directors and senior management of Trainkos in modernizing rolling stock and wagons should be welcomed, aiming to achieve European Union standards with modern services in rail transport.

Also present at the locomotive inauguration ceremony was a representative of the Dutch Embassy in Prishtina, Mr. Carel Brands, who is the coordinator responsible for the development of trade relations between the two countries.
 | Mr. Brands greeted those present and congratulated on the realization of this project. He also emphasized the cooperation and support of the Dutch state for Kosovo Railways.

The inauguration of the locomotive, which from today will be added to the fleet of other rolling stock of HK-Trainkos Sh.A, was symbolically marked with a ribbon-cutting, which also marked the beginning of its work in operations.
The ribbon was cut by the Minister of Infrastructure Mr. Lutfi Zharku, the Chief Executive Officer of ARH Mr. Enis Berisha, the Head of NJPMNP Ms. Flutura Shala, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HK-Trainkos Sh.A Mr. Sadik Kryeziu, and the Chief Executive Officer of HK-Trainkos Sh.A Mr. Gelor Shala.
 | The repair of this locomotive was financed by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. The locomotive was repaired by the contracted locomotive-repair operator "NTP SOLAR". The value of this project was 1 million, 85 thousand, 600 €. |
