On 14.06.2016, at the premises of Kosovo Railways -Trainkos Sh.A. an official ceremony marked the completion of the project "Training Program for Trainkos" (RVO). Present at this ceremony were the representative of the Dutch Embassy in Prishtina, Mr. Adrian Prenkaj, the Deputy Ambassador of the Netherlands in Skopje, Mr. Peter Verheyen, the head of international projects funded by the Dutch state, Mr. Frank Buizer, and the economic development officer from the Dutch Embassy in Skopje, Ms. Emina Shkrijelj.

Chief Executive Officer Gelor Shala greeted those present with a welcoming speech, thanking the Dutch citizens and Government for supporting this railway project: "On this occasion I would like to thank the people and Government of the Netherlands for their support and assistance to our country, and in particular to the railway sector, more specifically the company Trainkos Sh.A., which operates trains to and from the Republic of Kosovo. Thanks to their goodwill, we have enjoyed the results of a project that is extremely important to us. The 'Training Program for TRAINKOS' project, funded by the Government of the Netherlands, specifically the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has resulted in increased professional readiness according to the advanced practices applied in the Netherlands."
The project manager of the company "IES Asset Management", Mr. Diederik van Leeuwen, presented the project and its achievements. The presentation covered the training period of 51 TRAINKOS employees across separate modules: Train Drivers, Maintenance and Operations & Safety. Specifically, the challenges and approach, findings, key success factors, recommendations for the future, and possible future opportunities were explained.
At the end of the meeting, the idea of organizing a conference in mid-September in Prishtina was also proposed, as part of the closing plans of this project. The key topics of this conference will be developments in the railway sector and the commitments to be undertaken in future processes.
