Cooperation with the Railways of North Macedonia – an important condition in providing quality services in rail transport
In order to provide the best quality services in rail transport, executives and leaders from Trainkos J.S.C. Railways of Kosovo visited the Railways of North Macedonia.
Nol Dedaj, Chairman of the Board of Directors, directors, Blerina Shamolli and Shaban Neziri together with Gelor Shala, Chief Executive Officer and Sefedin Sefaj, Acting Director of the Department for Business Development at HK-Trainkos J.S.C., met with the leaders of the Railways of North Macedonia Transport J.S.C. - Skopje.
Representatives of HK-Trainko J.S.C., in this meeting, were received by Majan Vejseli, General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Railways of the Republic of North Macedonia Transport J.S.C.-Skopje, Liridon Useini, Chief of Cabinet of the General Director, Erkan Zeqiri, Legal Adviser, Milco Smilevski, Director of Freight Transport and Brahim Ajvazi, Director of Marketing and Sales.
In this meeting was discussed about cooperation in the field of railway transport in order to provide the highest quality services for both citizens and businesses of both countries.
The topic of discussion was the functionalization of the agreement between the two countries, for common border control points and in rail transport, which is expected to be finalized in early 2023. According to this agreement, the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of North Macedonia will have a common border crossing point for customs, police and phytosanitary services in Han of Elez. This will significantly affect the shortening of the running time of the trains..
Also, the General Director promised that there will be support for HK-Trainkos Sh.A. in the field of advanced technology, such as the GPS control system for rolling stock, which they use successfully.
While, after discussing the problems in the transportation of goods, the Railways of the Republic of North Macedonia Transport Sh.A-Skopje, pledged that the requests of HK-Trainkos Sh.A. for the provision of locomotives for transport to the border and for the provision of wagons (EAS) as needed for our customers will be treated with priority.
Discussions with mutual understanding guarantee continuous and fruitful cooperation for the activity that we develop.
North Macedonia Railways is a strategic partner for HK-Trainkos JSC, both in the provision of rail transport services and in the overall development of rail transport in our country.
